Client Testimony

Juggling family and a career can be pretty hectic sometimes. It's easy to lose sight of one's fitness goals. I've been seeing Ray now and again for a couple years and always find his supportive style of personal training to be just what I need to get back on track.
He is extremely knowledgeable and really works with his clients to not only encourage them towards their goals, but educate them as well. For me, understanding how nutrition and exercise influence me both physically and mentally, drives my motivation and helps keep me focused.

Wrong! The second mistake is that they go to take a cardio class, which again is just suicide, and thinking you will be fine. Remember the instructor is or should be in great shape and as well as the other people that have been consistent with cardio and weights. Then, the next day comes and you are just way too sore. The whole entire body is feeling sick and you can't move for the next two or three days or so, sounds familiar? Most people after feeling that way stop going to the gym and say they are not in shape, which is not correct. They should be saying I am way too catabolic. Meaning, you have to start from the inside internally first. Your body is not used to all the extra pounding and jumping and running around all of a sudden.
Swimming is especially good for the muscles and joints because your body is supported by the water which alleviates stress in the joints and ligaments and reduces or prevents injuries. Swimming exercises muscles and joints, including muscles that are rarely used. Gym equipment, in contrast, doesn't work the tiny muscle fibers as thoroughly as water or other functional exercises. The water supports the body so your joints do not get injured.
